Here are some of the first beads out of the kiln!
Be gentle with me, I'm just learning. I know they aren't even. And some of the edges are not quite right. But whee!
Also? I learned this morning for the millionth time that friction causes metal object to heat up. And that if you touch the end of your Dremel bit to see how much grit wore off right after you remove it from your bead hole? Ow.

Hey, don't do that. I'm the only one allowed to burn or cut my fingers. You need them for that lovely beading that you do.
By the way, I love your beads.
They're pretty!!!!
Wow! I realize I know nothing about beads or beading, but you did beautiful work! And aren't imperfections part of art? If you handmake absolutely perfect beads, how will people be able to appreciate them as unique from factory made ones?
Consider both the Navajo and the Amish, who say that only G-d can create perfection and therefore they put in intentional imperfections in their creations if they don't occur naturally. :)
I always found that somewhat reassuring with my quilting, but of course, I only quilted as a hobbyist.
Aviva- Imperfections, certainly... but a bead oughta be able to roll in a semi-straight line instead of wobble like a drunken sailor. *grin*
Well I'd be very pleased with myself if I had made those Melody! Bet you are itching to make more - but please look after those precious fingers of yours!
:0)
Another addiction in the making...ain't it grand?! :D
They look good from here. Can't wait to see more!
