I'm back from a lovely vacation, and am thrilled to report that I sold a bracelet while I was gone! Several people I was with asked me if I made earrings. I was forced to admit that it was not something I'd tried yet, but that I would get right on it.
So I came home and started working on a pair of flower earrings. You can see from the photo that it didn't work out exactly. I got one flower done and then started the next. It didn't want to be a flower, it complained. Earrings are boring, it said. It was unimpressed about being exactly the same as the last thing I made.
I was forced to listen to the beads, and the next thing I knew, I had a cup. A cup which cried out for a bee.
Today? Earrings for sure.

You crack me up, Melody! Big congrats on selling a bracelet...I know that must be incredibly encouraging for you :D
It's adorable! Bring on the earrings!

It's so cute! And I love the bee.
Hey what fun! I think every home should have a 'Bee Cup' Melody - congats. on the sale too!
:0)
I feel the same way about earrings, I have so many earrings started and just can't seem to get inspired to start the second one. But, I LOVE what you did with your earrings, it's so cute!!
I do love the bee cup. I am doing a craft show soon so I am thinking about making earrings but I feel the same way - OK making the first earring the second boring - but alas you do need two!
This just darling! I love it! I also love how it just did not want to be earrings.
Nicely done - it is adorable!
That's pretty darn cute. Love the bee. Shows that earrings are a good starting point for inspiration! LOL
this is so cute!!! as for the earrings - to begin with keep it simple - I also found it helpful to work on both at the same time, so every time you add a row or a new element to one you do the same to the other, that way they both proceed equally at the same time, I also found this method less tedious than finishing one and then having to make the other exactly the same :-) congrats on the sale!!! :-)
