Pride Bracelet

I have been working with Delicas for a while now. Long enough that it was fun to work with the more irregular seed beads. I like that the odd sizes introduce a little bit of waviness to the edges of the bracelet. I do want to work it up with Delicas to compare and contrast, though.

Waiting Is

Waiting for the mail, which should have the new beads I need.
Now are they here? Now?

New Projects

Why does every new project I dream up require an entirely new batch of beads?

Fail

It's finished:

but it doesn't work when it's on:

I still dig the concept, but need to rework it smaller. Maybe change the orientation of the diagram and work in several.

Feynman Diagram Bracelet

Feynman Diagram Bracelet

It's still not finished, but the diagram part is done. It was a whole day project to get it right! I think I like it, but it's a little too soon to tell.

Midnight Oil

My eyes are crossing and my shoulder aches from spending hours and hours working on a fabulous new bracelet today. I should be able to finish it and post photos tomorrow. I got the idea this morning that a Feynman diagram would make a cool bracelet. And then I built a pattern. And rebuilt it. Several times. Finally started beading it and of course rebuilt the pattern and ripped out and re-beaded and ripped out...

But it's working now! I've got about 2/3 of a peyote cuff bracelet finished. I'm in a hurry to get to sleep so I can get up and finish it. I love when I feel like this. It's so energizing and fun.

Twisty Necklace & Focal

Twisty Necklace & Focal
Originally uploaded by satyridae
This little choker started out as a glasses holder. But the cord I started with was too short for me, so I cut the ends off and covered the cord with spiral peyote stitch. Then I remembered this orchid bead my DH has been carrying around since his Air Force buddy's dad made a bunch of them. The colors were perfect, but getting the oddly faceted rectangular shape into a bezel was a challenge. I ended up doing four strips and then attaching them at the bottom of the bead and again at the top. I think it worked.

Next, a bail so the focal can hang from the necklace. I think I'll make it removable. Choice is good.
