This little choker started out as a glasses holder. But the cord I started with was too short for me, so I cut the ends off and covered the cord with spiral peyote stitch. Then I remembered this orchid bead my DH has been carrying around since his Air Force buddy's dad made a bunch of them. The colors were perfect, but getting the oddly faceted rectangular shape into a bezel was a challenge. I ended up doing four strips and then attaching them at the bottom of the bead and again at the top. I think it worked.
Next, a bail so the focal can hang from the necklace. I think I'll make it removable. Choice is good.
