BeadTool 3

I bought BeadTool 3 last night. It's such a great program, I already love it. I was able to create a pattern from a bracelet I made. The bracelet looks on purpose now, instead of totally random. I don't work from patterns, but it is sure nice to be able to go back and make a pattern from an already finished piece. The software is intuitive and very forgiving. I'm a fan.

I work with both BeadTool and BeadCreatorPro and find that they each have their strengths and weaknesses. BeadTool is always my program of choice for drafting patterns from scratch. BeadCreator does better with taking an image and converting, in my opinion. ;)

I'm on a Mac, so I can't use BeadCreatorPro. :\

Does BeadTool work with beads other than delica? Like Czech beads? From all appearances, it's the closest thing I've seen to Beadscape.

Suzanne,

Yep. It's not unlike Beadscape, which I had once upon a time, too. It offers pony beads, out on a whim beads, miyuki seed beads (which is what I'd use for Czech, I think, even tho' they aren't). I believe there's a free trial download, and the actual cost of the app is pretty reasonable at around 30 bucks.
